We are human and we are as changing as the moon,
Moving in and out of spaces and places, we change
faces as often as we feel. The heaviest shadow around this, our time of being human, is that we acquire, consume, and
throw away. We take, use, and abuse our Earth
Mother, and each Other.
Embracing this reality of the Anthropocene, and inspired by the beauty of decomposition as creation of new beginnings:
Fruiting Bodies: an artcycled clothing line made
entirely of secondhand, and sustainably sourced
I dye, print, embroider and weave all manner of wearable art, using my magpie-foraging collector skills, and re-purposing as learned from Fungi kin.
I believe in consuming responsibly, and as a creatrix I believe in slow fashion, artisan livelihood, and the beauty of old things made new. I believe that luxury fashion comes in collaboration with, never power over… anyone or anything. And I do my best to price my work with intention:
in honor of my time and gifts and Earth’s time and gifts, in the spirit of anti-capitalism, never mindless growth, and with the core belief that beautiful luxurious items are for every Fruiting Body.
